The 2023-2024 TK/Kindergarten Lottery was held on Friday, February 17, 2023. Placement information/registration packets were mailed to parents the week following the lottery. TK and kindergarten students enrolling post-lottery will be placed where there is space available.
2024-2025 TK/Kindergarten Lottery packets will be available starting on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. The packets will be available at the Pacifica School District Office located at 375 Reina Del Mar Avenue and at the following school sites:
Cabrillo School
Linda Mar Educational Center
Ocean Shore School
Ortega School
Sunset Ridge School
Vallemar School
You must be a Pacifica resident residing within PSD boundaries or a PSD employee (Minimum FTE: Classified: .625 FTE and Certificated: .75 FTE only) to enter your child in the TK/Kinder Lottery. Sibling/Priority lottery cards are due at the Pacifica School District Office no later than 12 noon on February 1, 2024. Transitional Kindergarten and New Enrollment lottery cards are due at the Pacifica School District Office no later than 4:30pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Kindergarten
2023-2024 School Year:
If your child will be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2023, your child is eligible to attend kindergarten in fall 2023.
2024-2025 School Year:
If your child will be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2024, your child is eligible for kindergarten in fall of 2024.
Transitional Kindergarten
2023-2024 School Year:
If your child’s 5th birthday falls between September 2, 2023, and April 2, 2024, your child qualifies for the transitional kindergarten (TK) program offered at Ortega, Sunset Ridge and Vallemar Schools in fall 2023.
2024-2025 School Year:
If your child’s 5th birthday falls between September 2, 2024, and June 2, 2025, your child qualifies for the transitional kindergarten (TK) program offered at Ortega, Sunset Ridge and Vallemar Schools in fall 2024.
